MASTER OF THEATRE

During my master of theatre I created four artistic research projects; Stup - a concert performance were I created costume and scenography and an audience participation dramaturgy for a concert by Marte Røyeng and Siril Hauge. Future Synthesising - a LARP (Live action role play) inspired futuristic scout camp on the beach of the Fjaler Festival. Morfologier - vol 01 and vol 02 where I translated a poetic text into scenography, choreography and directing in a blackbox and a main stage format. Finally my masters project I combined my skills as performer, director, writer and costume designer and created the theatre performance don’t mention the moustache.

Morphologies Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 explored how spatial and aesthetic devices can cultivate a sense of interconnectedness and an acceptance of impermanence.

In the main stage format (Vol. 1), a non-narrative dramaturgy was tested, allowing text, movement, and sound to operate as autonomous layers. Scenographic elements, such as veils and soundscapes, were employed to evoke a sense of the sacred. In the black box format (Vol. 2), the audience's close proximity to the performance area fostered physical intimacy and heightened engagement. These artistic inquiries incorporated tactile elements, intimate spatial configurations, and a repetitive dramaturgy.

The objective was to investigate how sensory and spatial strategies can invite the audience to encounter impermanence and interconnectedness through embodied presence and a sense of merging with the performance.
